Sponsor of the 4th of July Maverick Club Rodeo and the Maverick Ranch Rodeo. Featuring: Roping, Barrel Racing, Bull Riding, Wild Cow Milking, Wild Horse Race, and More! In 1922, the maverick Club was organized by 50 prominent citizens of Cimarron. The purpose of the club involves social, civic and educational objectives. They used the term "Maverick" to denote the group of "strays" who felt they did not fit the mold of the typical service groups in the area. |
