FROM ALBUQUERQUE OR SANTA FE:
Take I25 north (about 3 hours from Albuquerque and about 2.5 hours from Santa Fe). Three miles past Springer, take exit 419, SR-58, and turn left (west) and travel 19 miles. SR-58 dead-ends at the intersection of US-64 and you will be in Cimarron. Turn left and find the Visitor Center about a half mile down on the right-hand side, on the corner of US-64 and Lincoln Ave, right in the Village Park. FROM DENVER: About 4 hours, or 258 miles. Take i25 south for about 3 hours & 20 minutes, or 217 miles. About 3 miles past Raton, NM, take exit 446, US-64 west toward Taos. Travel about 35 miles until you reach the Village of Cimarron. Find the Visitor Center about the middle of town on the right-hand side, on the corner of US-64 and Lincoln Ave, right in the Village Park. FROM AMARILLO: About 240 miles, or 3 hours & 45 minutes. Take US-87 north to Clayton, NM. In Clayton, take US-412/56 west to Springer, NM. From Springer, take i25 north 3 miles and take exit 419 for SR-58, and turn left (west) and travel 19 miles. SR-58 dead-ends at the intersection of US-64. Turn left and find the Visitor Center about a half a mile down on the right-hand side, on the corner of US-64 and Lincoln Ave, right in the Village Park. FROM TOAS: Take US-64 east for about 55 miles. You will find the Visitor Center on the left-hand side, about the middle of town, on the corner of US-64 and Lincoln Ave, right in the Village Park. |
AIRLINES
CAR RENTALS There are two places in Raton to rent a car. They are "pick-up/drop-off at the same site" only. 1. There is a Hertz Rental in Raton. Call Desiree at 575-445-3644 for more information. Vehicles rented here must be picked up and returned to this site. Located an easy walk (one block) from the train station. 2. Raton Municipal Airport also rents vehicles. Vehicles rented here must be picked up and returned to this site. They will bring the car to you in Raton.
TRAIN Take a train to Raton, NM (40 miles north of Cimarron), and arrange for bus service or car rental. Note: There is no ticket agent in Raton, but the train does stop for ticketed passengers. Buy tickets online here: Amtrak Train Service BUS Greyhound- Note: There is no bus stop in Cimarron, but passengers can take the bus to the Amtrak station in Raton at 201 South First Street, Raton, NM 87740.
