FALL

Fall is a quiet, breathtaking time to enjoy the serenity of Northeastern New Mexico.

Many people from all over the United States and other parts of the world come to enjoy the Cimarron Canyon State Park and the Valle Vidal fall colors. Brilliant yellow, gold, and red leaves don the trees. Colors are usually best from mid September to mid October. This season is also prime time for Elk viewing.

Cimarron has perfect fall weather with warm days and crisp, chilly nights. Snow can come to the mountains as early as the end of October. This is a great time of year to be outdoors, especially if you like to explore without the crowds of summer.
