Short Grass Music Festival Event: Chuy Martinez and Oti Ruiz will bring the music and folklore of Latin America to the Cimarron Elementary School Gym at 1:00 p.m. They will follow up with a free community concert at 7 p.m. that evening in the Sister Hildegarde Smith Parish Hall in Cimarron.  Free admission.  School concerts are also open to  the public and all are invited to bring the family to join in the fun.

Short Grass Music Festival Event:  Family-centered Trillium Marimba Ensemble blends a background of folk, classical and ragtime with their love of the marimba music of Zimbabwe

Miranda Gym in Springer (9:00 a.m.) and the Maxwell Auditorium in Maxwell (12:30 p.m.). Free admission.

March 10 10am the ceremony for oath of office will be at the village. This will be the swearing in for all new village council members.  This will not be done at the regular council meeting.

March 16 Cimarron Community Choir presents "The Weeping Tree" by Joseph M. Martin,  7pm, Cimarron United Methodist Church, Free and open to the public.
March 26 Kiwanis Club Meeting 7:30am in the Maverick Room of the St James Hotel. The guest speaker will be Clint Henson, New Mexico Game and Fish.  He will speak about new regulations affecting Cimarron Canyon State Park.  Everyone is welcome to join.  BYOB (buy your own breakfast.) 
March 28 FREE SKI and SNOWBOARD FOR New Mexico Residents at Angel Fire Resort

All New Mexico residents with proof of residency are invited to enjoy a free day on the slopes.  Proof of residency includes any valid, state-issued photo id or current utility bill. Children and dependents are covered by proof of residency of the head-of-household. Angel Fire Resort currently has 100% of its mountain trails open and a 53” base with fantastic spring skiing conditions.

Spay/Neuter Clinic

Cimarron Elementary School Gymnasium, Helping needy families and senior citizens care for cats and dogs.  Rates REDUCED. 

Prices include vaccinations:  Female dog spay $30, Male dog neuter $20, Female cat spay $20, Male cat neuter $10, Standard de-worming $5. 

Volunteers will help pick up pets and fill out paperwork throughout the area.  Call for help!

in the Community Room Gallery at Cookin’ Books.

We’ll also be having a book signing with Lesley King.

You may be familiar with Lesley as a former editor of

The Santa Fean and from her monthly travel column

in New Mexico Magazine. She is the author of

a number of travel guide books, including

Frommer’s New Mexico, Frommer’s American Southwest

and New Mexico for Dummies.

Copies of Lesley’s book, King of the Road,

Adventures Along New Mexico’s Friendly Byways,

will be available for sale and signing.

Come enjoy the artwork, the artists,
